Certifications
The Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) Certificate is a program that prepares students to enter a dietetic internship or a graduate program in nutrition and dietetics that requires a DPD Verification Statement. The DPD is accredited by the Accreditation Council on Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) and is the first step in preparing to become a Registered Dietitian.
The ServSafe Manager Certification verifies that a manager or person-in-charge has sufficient food safety knowledge to protect the public from foodborne illness. Individuals that successfully pass the 90-question, multiple-choice exam will receive a ServSafe Manager Certification and wallet card.

A food handler is defined by law as a person who works in a food facility and performs any duties that involve the preparation, storage or service of food in a food facility.
